Becka Clark has been creating music since she was a
small child. Her fondest childhood memory is spending countless hours in front of make believe audiences while recording her songs on a portable tape recorder. An eclectic musician, with experience in classical styles as well as folk, she specializes in Appalachian and Irish music.
After moving to the art mecca of coastal Mississippi in 1997, Becka performed with several Celtic bands around the region. She also performed in the alternative folk songwriting duo "Bekhatu" and recorded with the alternative folk band "Lost In Found." In 2005, Becka pursued a solo career and began working on her first project "The Mountains Are Calling," released in November 2006.
Becka's list of instruments include: Irish bouzouki, bodhran, Irish flute and whistles, dulcimers, autoharp and banjo. Her live shows are as educational as they are entertaining since she always provides time for instrument demonstrations.
